Dr. Jodi (Burns) Berendzen

Dr. Jodi (Burns) Berendzen

Dr. Jodi (Burns) Berendzen joined the Women’s Clinic of JCMG in August 2011. She is a native of Linn, Missouri, and graduated from Helias High School in 1999.

Dr. Berendzen has special interests in obstetrics, laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, menopause and sexual health education for adolescents. Dr. Berendzen strives to give each patient personalized attention, with up-to-date clinical knowledge.

Dr. Berendzen and her husband, Jeff, have three young children. She enjoyed her time in East Tennessee during her residency, spending time hiking and camping in the Smoky Mountains, but is happy to return to her roots in central Missouri. She is glad to be back in a community that has a “hometown” feel. She enjoys spending time outdoors and visiting new places.

Education: Bachelor of Arts with a degree in biology from St. Louis University, Doctorate of Medicine from St. Louis University School of Medicine, Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Awards/Honors: BA Biology summa cum laude, graduated cum laude and a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society from St. Louis University School of Medicine, Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Albert W. Diddle Award for Outstanding Resident Research Manuscript for research entitled “The Association of Obesity and Cesarean Delivery Rate.” Published in scientific journals, Simulation in Healthcare, Hernia, and Tennessee Medicine.

Board Certification: Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Amanda (Brondel) Rodemann

Dr. Amanda (Brondel) Rodemann

Dr. Amanda Rodemann, DO, grew up not far from JCMG Women’s Clinic, in St. Martins. She graduated from Helias High School in 1999 and then went on to Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. There she was on the women’s basketball team all four years of school. Dr. Rodemann is interested in obstetrical care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pelvic reconstruction, urinary incontinence, menopause, adolescent gynecology, and preventive medicine for women of all ages.

Dr. Rodemann is married to Jacob Rodemann and has two children, Kate and Wilson. She enjoys being active, being outdoors, and watching sports.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry at Westminster College, 2003. Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2007. Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in June of 2011.

Awards/Honors: Graduated with honors from undergraduate program at Westminster College and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Received the research project of the year award in 2010 for case presentation at the University of Missouri-Columbia and was named Chief Resident during her final year.

Board Certification: Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Lorraine Dodson

Dr. Lorraine Dodson

Dr. Lorraine Dodson joined the Women's Clinic in 1994. Her husband, Jack, is a Jefferson City native and he practices family medicine at Family Care Associates. They have 3 growing children. She enjoys the outdoors and taking care of their many pets.

Dr. Dodson came to Women's Clinic after completing medical school and her residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She enjoys all aspects of her profession, from in-office gynecology to surgery to obstetrics.

Education: Bachelor of Science with a degree in Chemistry and Biology from Rhodes College, Memphis, Tennessee in 1986. Doctorate of Medicine (cum laude) from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1990. Residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in 1994.

Board Certification: Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Brandi (Decker) Nichols

Dr. Brandi (Decker) Nichols

A native of Ashland, Missouri, Dr. Nichols has spent her life in central Missouri. Her husband, Jeff, is her high school sweetheart. The Nichols family has two amazing boys and a great network of extended family close by. Dr. Nichols completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2010 and joined the Women’s Clinic of JCMG that same year. She truly enjoys her practice and her patients. She strives to make the most of every day.

Education: Bachelor of Science with a degree in Biology, Doctorate of Medicine and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology all at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Awards/Honors: BS Biology cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa Honors society, Best Resident Research 2009, Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology 2010.

Get to know Brian Stephens M.D. through the eyes of his daughters! Production, script, videography and music all created by Kyrstin and Erin Stephens. Brennan and Emilia Stephens are also featured in the videos along with Dr. Stephens' co-workers, friends and patients!

Dr. Stephens has family roots in Texas and Oklahoma. His wife is from the Oklahoma City area and they have 4 daughters. Since completing his training in 2001, Dr. Stephens has been a physician at the Women’s Clinic. His practice includes a full range of OB/GYN services. He loves caring for families though the pregnancy journey, as well as the lifelong routine health care needs of women through annual examinations and working with many of the health problems that can arise at various stages of a woman’s life.

Education: Bachelor of Science with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry at Southern Nazarene University, Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology completed at Scott & White Hospital/Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine in Temple, Texas.

Awards/Honors/Research: Bachelor of Science Biology/Chemistry: Summa Cum Laude, Fellows Honor Scholarship, University Marshal (highest collegiate honor awarded to a junior), Phi Delta Lambda–Epsilon Chapter, Presidents Honor Award.
